2 Timothy

“Malaysia rejects Christian appeal”
It makes me grieve.
A friend of mine reminded me of this scripture:

“In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted (2 Timothy 3:12)

Taiwan shows off military muscle
I don’t know how this news was reported in Taiwan and how its people are reacting to it. But looking at the photo in this link here it shows that children were getting excited as well, at least their parents are and they are getting their children involved.
This annual "Han Kuang" (or "Chinese Glory") military drill, is being glorified. Defense is very important for any country; but are they sending the right messages to the kids?
Having these fighters may mean the country is wealthy enough to buy them, and/or they have the necessary technology and knowledge to build/maintain/fly them...etc. But the message which it is giving me is, "If we get bombed, we can bomb them back. If they kill our people, we can kill their people in return." This is not something so glorious or worth celebrating about. This is something that shows how ugly human beings are, that we need to defend ourselves from each other with such things.

On Friday the 18th, we paid the Colonel a visit. There, the Colonel threw a feast for us. The two of us, in return to the Colonel's kindless, disregarded our hearts' outcry, ate 8 pieces of chicken, 4 bags of fries, 2 coleslaws and drank 1.5 litre of Pepsi. It was so enjoyable...such pleasure...But...I don't think we would visit the Colonel again for some time.
I should learn to love my heart.

Thank you Jesus

"But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" (Matthew 14:30-31)

Today in BBC news there is this article about bobbies are forced to waste time on making arrests for petty offences. Here's the link to the article:

I think the bobbies are doing some good jobs here. They are helping parents to
displine their kids (whether the parents are not doing their part at all, or not doing enough, or their kids are just too much for them), preventing them from becoming ASBOs, and thus, making this world a better place for us all and saving tax payer's money in the long term.

They look so tasty, don't they?
